MEET AMANDA
I love being the broker/owner of the Barrios Real Estate Group! I’m a native New Orleanian with a history degree from the University of New Orleans and a passion for architecture and design. I became a Realtor in 2004 and opened the Barrios Group as a broker in 2017. I consider myself a listing specialist and my style is to work collaboratively with clients across the metro area to develop a unique listing plan including expert advice on staging, marketing, negotiating, and all other phases of the home selling process.

FAMILY
My husband, Troy, is also a Realtor and he is my best friend. If he wasn’t, we probably wouldn’t have survived both being in this industry for so long. Troy is also a Nola native who didn’t go far to settle down. We live in historic Old Arabi and we are in love with our neighborhood. We enjoy travel and new experiences, but we will always call this place home. We have a rescue dog/office mascot named Chancey Jane and she’s the one who’s really in charge. Just ask her. Our next great adventure is going to be a schoolie conversion so the three of us can travel together in style.

BUSINESS
I’m an active member of the business community in both Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes. I serve on the Board of Directors for the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce. I am co-chair of the Leadership St. Bernard Planning Committee. I strongly support new businesses and creative entrepreneurial initiatives in our community. I am committed to providing small business owners and the self-employed with opportunities to become homeowners. I am a member of the Greater New Orleans Executives Association and I’m proud to say I was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Council of Realtors in 2017.

COMMUNITY
I am extremely dedicated to the community I live in. I’ve served on the Old Arabi Neighborhood Association board for the past three years and they may never get me to step down. I volunteer at the St. Bernard Community Center and basically anywhere else my help is needed. I’m a founding member of the Leading Ladies League in New Orleans, haven't missed a day of Jazz Fest in well over a decade, and savor my monthly dinners with the New Orleans Women and Wine.
