MEET TROY

I joined the real estate industry in 2011 after a long career in retail. It felt like a very natural move for me to take all of the customer service skills that I learned through the years and apply it to being a Realtor. I consider myself to be loyal, passionate, and dependable and I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve, but this gives me the ability to treat all of my clients like family. I want every client to feel like they are my only client. I enjoy working in all different types of real estate – residential, commercial, investors, renters – and I’m happy to work anywhere in the metro area. I pride myself in being flexible and available when it comes to my clients' needs whether that means making videos, meeting contractors, driving neighborhoods looking for unlisted property, or many other things that may come up during their transaction.

BACKGROUND

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I have lived in many different neighborhoods which has given me a diverse perspective on the many great areas we have to offer. After 17 years in retail, I came to realize that I was missing important events and milestones in my life. I wanted a career where I could use my knowledge to provide excellent service and not be rushed by all the other “jobs” that go along with a job in retail. Being in real estate gives me the opportunity to focus on my clients’ needs plus the flexibility to focus on my family as well. I consider myself a fix-it guy, and since my retail experience was in the home improvement market, I’m able to share my knowledge and expertise with clients when looking at houses. I can advise them about potential repairs or upgrades and how they may affect a home’s value.

COMMUNITY

The list of things I volunteer for just in my own community is long – the community garden, Sugarfest, Sipping in the Sunset, the beautification committee, and more. I’m currently serving as the Vice President of the Old Arabi Neighborhood Association as well. The thing I truly love about my neighborhood and community is that I have a voice. In fact, everyone does. Through this broad range of volunteer activities, we are all working toward the common goals of keeping the neighborhood safe and clean as well as keeping property values up.

OTHER INTERESTS

My main hobby outside of real estate is photography. My favorite thing is finding the one perfect picture among the four hundred taken that day when I'm not even sure what I will find until I get home. I sometimes even make my own frames just so that the entire presentation exactly represents what I was looking for. I also love sports! Geaux Saints! Geaux Tigers! If I’m not watching sports or playing fantasy football, I’m probably working on projects around my own house. This year I renovated our master bathroom from top to bottom and my lucky wife Alison will have a new potting shed by the end of the summer.
